Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of hfixs.com, operated by Home Fixs. By accessing the site, using our calculators, or submitting a quote request, you agree to them. If you disagree with any part, please stop using the site.

What does Home Fixs provide?

Home Fixs publishes cost guides, pricing data and estimating tools for home improvement projects, and offers a free referral service that connects homeowners with local contractors. We are a publisher and referral service. We do not install, repair or sell fencing, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with a contractor.

How should I use the cost estimates?

Our calculators and price ranges are planning tools built from published 2026 industry data and national averages. They are estimates, not quotes. Actual pricing depends on your material grade, site conditions, local labor rates, permits and the contractor you hire. Always obtain written estimates from licensed professionals before committing to a project or budget.

How does the quote referral service work?

When you submit the contact form, we may share the details you provide with fence installers serving your area so they can contact you. By submitting, you consent to that contact. Additional terms:

  • Referral is free to you and carries no obligation to hire anyone.
  • We may receive compensation from contractors for referrals, which does not change what you pay.
  • We do not guarantee that installers will be available in every ZIP code.
  • Any contract, work, warranty or dispute is strictly between you and the contractor.

Are contractors vetted or endorsed?

We take reasonable steps to work with established installers, but we do not license, supervise, insure or guarantee any contractor's work. Before hiring, verify licensing and insurance yourself, request references, and get the scope and price in writing. Home Fixs makes no warranty regarding any contractor's qualifications, workmanship, pricing or conduct.

What are the rules for using this site?

You agree not to:

  • Submit false information or another person's details through our forms.

Is the information guaranteed to be accurate?

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep pricing current and cite our sources, but prices change constantly and regional variation is significant. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Please also read our disclaimer.

What is the limitation of liability?

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Home Fixs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this site, including decisions made based on our cost estimates, or from any interaction, contract or dispute with a contractor referred through this site. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
